When you like someone, you befriend her. Little do you know that you slowly become the person she is. You become her carbon copy.

That is when you start to change.

Her friends become your friends, her style becomes your style, you go wherever she goes, and her likes become your likes. Slowly you start to agree with everything she says. Guess what, you will never be who she is.

That is when you lose your identity.

You are no longer the same person you were before. In the end, you are just a copycat desperately imitating everything about her.

Then reality strikes: she never even considered you as a friend. To her, you are just another fan who does everything she say.

Finally, that is when you lose your friends and by the time you realize it, it’s too late.

We never had a playground but there was our talipapa to explore. When I was around 4, I used to play with Ayis in their house, then we’ll both climb the aratilis tree and sneak out to the talipapa to buy paper dolls and Mik Mik.

Haaay… Gone were the days when I used to play hide and seek, patintero, habulan, ice ice water, etc.
